George M. Simonton was an alumnus of the Fashion Institute Of Technology and a tenured Professor. He got his start when his designs attracted the eye of Happy Rockefeller, who judged his work at the New York State Pavilion Contest at The World's Fair. He went on to work with Dan Millstein, Calvin Klein, and C'est Simone.
Clients included Elizabeth Taylor, Laura Bush, and Julianna Margulies.
