The Guermantes by Marcel Proust, translated by C.K. Scott Moncrieff, Presented by The Modern Library circa 1933

Marcel becomes obsessed with the Duchesse de Guermantes, who does not reciprocate his interest. With unmatched powers of observation, the author vividly describes the struggles for political, social, and sexual supremacy played out beneath a veneer of elegant manners. Terribly,  wickedly good!!!

This copy is cloth bound rust in color w/ gold lettering, in good condition, mild fraying top spine pages clean and unmarked.
