"The Adventures of Oliver Twist" by Charles Dickens, with illustrations by Cruikshank, is a shocking account of the conditions in London that led poor children into a life of crime. It is also a gripping story of the triumph of good over evil. This is one of my all-time favorite stories and is a must-have for any Dickens lover. The book is in good condition for its age, though the leather is flaking. The binding is tight, and the pages have a patina, while the spine has some bleaching. I'm sure this volume will be a blissful reward for the bibliophile you love.
