Kidnapped by Robert Louis Stevenson Circa 1911, Evil Relatives, Stolen Inheritance, Sword Play, and Sold into Bondage ... Oh My!
Whip out your fans ladies, because this one is going to be hot! Our protagonist is a handsome and brave Scott, that must endure life in the harsh Scotland of the 1700s as an orphan, with an evil Uncle, who sells him into bondage on a ship, steals his inheritance, and leaves our young beautiful David to endure a shipwreck, kidnapping, Jacobite uprisings, underhanded politics, swordplay and finally friendship, and escape. I believe if you're a fan of a certain popular series on cable (Highlander) you will definitely find this book exhilarating. This is a Romantic Historical Adventure Fiction. This is precisely the kind of book where your wonderful adventuress fantasies can come roaring to life. I think dress-up will definitely be called for, replete with all the necessary gear needed to make good your escape (that is assuming you want to escape), and who doesn't love a man in white linen ruffled lawn shirt and lace-up leather breeches, with scrumptiously soft glove leather boots ( I'm going to stop now), hopefully, you get the point. But I would recommend an outdoor picnic for this reading, only because all that kidnapping, tying up, escaping, and recapturing, with of course the requisite ravishment, can be decidedly rough on the furnishings, just a thought, I like to help where I can.
