Babar the Elephant is a fictional elephant character who first appeared in 1931 in the French children's book Histoire de Babar by Jean de Brunhoff.
The fifth Babar story is a beautiful and heartwarming salute to parenthood that every Mom and Dad will appreciate.
Jean de Brunhoff (1899–1937) was a writer and illustrator. Initially, he and his wife Cécile created the Babar series for their children. Brunhoff was born in Paris.
1966, no dust jacket, pictorial hardcover, illustrated in color, pages, and illustrations remain bright and clear. Boards have shelf-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces, the top quarter-inch of the spine is damaged (please see photo)
