Beautiful handcrafted antique decorative round copper Mughal Indian box with lid, latch, and handle. This Indian vessel is delicately and intricately hand-hammered with floral and geometric designs. It is a vintage bread/roti dabba box with a lid, handcrafted by skilled artisans from India.

 

These Indian bread boxes, also known as Roti ka dabba boxes, were used for centuries to keep the freshly baked homemade round fluffy Chapatis or rotis made of wheat flour bread. This exquisite Indian Mughal conversation piece is of museum quality, with a very nice antique patina. It is a great decorative 19th-century Asian art object This piece is made in the style of Agra.

Could be used as a tea caddy or treasure chest; and is perfect for gifting.

The materials and techniques used in its making are copper, metal, hammered, and hand-crafted. It was made in India during the early late 19th - 20th century.
